Question for the day: What do you need to do to create space in your life for being still?
What can we pray with YOU about today?
Good morning,
This is just a reminder that every day, while we are studying God’s Word to add to our website, someone from our ministry, Dysmas Conduit, is holding you up before the Lord in prayer. May He greatly bless you today as you pursue His will and He is glorified through you.
God’s blessings, our love,
George & Sidney Granger

THANK YOU FOR PRAYING FOR PASTOR BOB ALLMANN
Please remain in prayer concerning his continued healing and that he is upheld by the Spirit, becoming physically strong as he returns to serving the Lord… what he loves to do!
Please continue to pray for Billy Hamburg, whose doctors found 5 tumors in his bladder. He had surgery June 29th and the biopsy results showed a cancerous condition. He will be undergoing chemo & radiation treatments and will need the Lord’s Hand to overcome his anxiety as well as the cancer.
UPDATE:
After more testing, the doctors have found that, despite the number of tumors found in and around the bladder, that the cancer has NOT spread to any surrounding muscle tissue or organs. They are looking at completely removing the bladder and replacing it with a piece of intestine. WE PRAISE GOD AND GIVE HIM THE GLORY FOR THIS; WE ALSO PRAY THAT BILLY WILL RECOGNIZE THIS AS GOD WORKING IN HIS LIFE!!!!!!!!!
Please continue praying for my brother David , who was diagnosed with an aggressive cancerous brain tumor. He is going to have his first of many chemo therapy treatments this morning to zap this tumor.
Also, please lift up with continued prayer, our son Scott, who has become very depressed due to events over the last 1-2 years, unemployment, finances, brother-in-law‘s suicide.
That God lay his hand on both of them and give them his love, peace, comfort, and understanding. Thanks for your prayers. --Ralph and Ruth Boboltz

Good morning, Church!
Pastor Greg Finke
Luke 11:1, "One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When He finished, one of His disciples said to him, 'Lord, teach us to pray.'"
When Jesus teaches us to pray, He also is teaching us the importance of intentionally making space in our lives to actually pray.
Jesus taught about prayer in words. But He also taught about prayer in the practices He chose to prioritize in His life. Luke 5:16 (and 6:12, 9:18, 9:28, 11:1) reflects His priority and practice. "But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed." Slow that sentence down a little.
Jesus - often - withdrew - to lonely places - and prayed.
If we want to learn how to pray like Jesus does, He teaches us that we need to create real space in our lives to really pray. We, too, need to often withdraw from all that is going on around us and get by ourselves with the Father. Jesus usually accomplished that by praying early in the morning or late into the night.
However, because He created space so that He could actually pray - not just teach about it, not just talk about it - but actually do it, He was filled with the results of re-centering on the Father in prayer: confidence in the Father, clarity for His day, and the fruit of the Spirit. He started His day full rather than already on empty.
Psalm 46:1-2, 7, 10, "God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear though the earth give way. The Lord Almighty is with us, the God of Jacob is our fortress. 'Be still, and know that I am God.'"
We need to intentionally make space so that we have unhurried time to...
Be still in the strength and grace of the Father.
Re-center our minds and hearts on the Father.
Receive from the Father.
"Lord, teach us to pray... like you do."
What do you need to do to create space in your life for being still, re-centering and receiving from the Father?
Be wise and be Church,
Pastor Greg
