Question for the day: What does a changing life look like?
What can we pray for YOU about today?
Good morning,
This is just a reminder that every day, while we are studying God’s Word to add to our website, someone from our ministry, Dysmas Conduit, is holding you up before the Lord in prayer. May He greatly bless you today as you pursue His will and He is glorified through you.
God’s blessings, our love,

A MIRACLE IN
A Muslim man in
The girls were buried alive! He then reported to the police that an uncle killed the kids. 15 days later, another family member died. When they went to bury him, they found the 2 little girls under the sand - ALIVE!
The country is outraged over the incident, and the man will be executed at the end of July.
The older girl was asked how she had survived and she says:- 'A man wearing shiny white clothes, with bleeding wounds in his hands, came every day to feed us. He woke up my mom so she could nurse my sister,' she said. She was interviewed on Egyptian national TV, by a veiled Muslim woman news anchor. She said on public TV, 'This was none other than Jesus, because nobody else does things like this!'
Muslims believe Isa (Jesus) would do this, but the wounds mean He really was crucified, and it's clear also that He is alive! But, it's also clear that the child could not make up a story like this, and there is no way these children could have survived without a true miracle.
Muslim leaders are going to have a hard time to figure out what to do with this, and the popularity of the Passion movie doesn't help! With
The Lord says, 'I will bless the person who puts his trust in me. (Jeremiah 17)

Today’s Chapter in God’s Word
Acts 1
(New International Version Translation)
Assemble nine very different people: l The class cut-up who makes everything funny l The preppie rich kid with her very own BMW l The minority student from the not-so-nice part of town l The human computer who would rather do calculus problems than anything else l The mammoth football jock who loves to bash things—especially quarterbacks l The student whose recent "achievements" read like a sleazy novel l The school airhead who is not exactly headed for a career as a genetic scientist l The campus philosopher/ political activist who loves to argue and hates shallow people l The quiet classmate who, for whatever reasons, never fits in l Now, give this diverse crowd a simple task to do . . . together. l Even if you could get them all in the same room, they'd never complete the assignment. What they'd most likely produce is nonstop arguing, bickering, and chaos! If they functioned as a team at all, it would be bumpy and very brief. l So, how do we explain the first-century church? How did several hundred radically different people accomplish the complicated and time-consuming project of taking Jesus' story all over the world? l How did they handle conflicts? What kept them going when hard times hit? What is it that those first Christians had that is lacking among believers today? l If you'd like the answers to those questions (and you'd like to see how you can help improve your own church), dive into the book of Acts.

In my former book, Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach [2] until the day he was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen. [3] After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the
[6] So when they met together, they asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to
[7] He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. [8] But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in
[9] After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
[10] They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. [11] "Men of

[15] In those days Peter stood up among the believers (a group numbering about a hundred and twenty) [16] and said, "Brothers, the Scripture had to be fulfilled which the Holy Spirit spoke long ago through the mouth of David concerning Judas, who served as guide for those who arrested Jesus-- [17] he was one of our number and shared in this ministry."
[18] (With the reward he got for his wickedness, Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines spilled out. [19] Everyone in
[20] "For," said Peter, "it is written in the book of Psalms,
" 'May his place be deserted;
let there be no one to dwell in it,'
and,
" 'May another take his place of leadership.'
[21] Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have been with us the whole time the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, [22] beginning from John's baptism to the time when Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection."
[23] So they proposed two men: Joseph called Barsabbas (also known as Justus) and Matthias. [24] Then they prayed, "Lord, you know everyone's heart. Show us which of these two you have chosen [25] to take over this apostolic ministry, which Judas left to go where he belongs." [26] Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias; so he was added to the eleven apostles.
A question on today’s Scripture: Acts 1:18
Matthew says that Judas hanged himself (Matthew 27:5); Acts says that he fell.
Which was it?
CURRENT PRAYER REQUESTS:
Please pray for Mike and Sandy Brommer as they spread the Lord’s Seed and witness to His glory while on the road today. Please pray also that the Lord will lead him to Kingdom-profitable loads to carry, and that He grants them safe passage today to Ben Salem, PA.
THANK YOU FOR PRAYING FOR PASTOR BOB ALLMANN
Pastor Bob is doing so well that he gave his testimony about his accident and road to recovery at St. Mark Lutheran Church in
Please continue to pray for Billy Hamburg, whose doctors found 5 tumors in his bladder. He had surgery June 29th and the biopsy results showed a cancerous condition. He will be undergoing chemo & radiation treatments and will need the Lord’s Hand to overcome his anxiety as well as the cancer.
Please take a few minutes every day to pray for 11-year-old Dasia who underwent a bone marrow transplant in December. She has been at at U of M since Monday (Aug. 3rd) with a fungus in her lungs that is untreatable apart from surgery, to take out the part of the lung with the fungus. The doctors said that Dasia may not even make it out of the OR. It is an extremely risky surgery, with a high mortality rate. If she makes it out of the OR she will have to be on a ventilator for quite some time. She has been through so much already in her young life. Please pray that God would stretch his healing hand over her and breath new life into her. That He protects her during the surgery and that she comes out without complications.
Brothers and Sisters,
Lynn Boone just called and has asked for us to be in prayer.
Please lift her mom up asking for God's peace and healing hand to be upon her and that through this procedure her quality of life will be greatly improved. For the doctors and nurses caring for her that they will have great wisdom and discernment in treating her. For Lynn and her family that they will feel peace and comfort as they wait.
Blessings, Prayer Warriors!

An answer to today’s Scripture question on:
Matthew says that Judas hanged himself (Matthew 27:5); Acts says that he fell. The traditional explanation is that when Judas hanged himself, the rope or branch broke, Judas fell, and his body burst open. —Life Application Bible Notes
