Manna for July 25, 2009

Question for the day: How do you survive a shipwreck?

What can we pray for YOU about today?

Good morning,

This is just a reminder that every day, while we are studying God’s Word to add to our website, someone from our ministry, Dysmas Conduit, is holding you up before the Lord in prayer. May He greatly bless you today as you pursue His will and He is glorified through you.

God’s blessings, our love,

George & Sidney Granger

CURRENT PRAYER REQUESTS:

Please pray for Mike and Sandy Brommer as they spread the Lord’s Seed and witness to His glory while on the road today. Please pray also that the Lord will lead him to Kingdom-profitable loads to carry, and that He grants them safe passage while in Little Rock.

THANK YOU FOR PRAYING FOR PASTOR BOB ALLMANN

Pastor Bob is doing so well that he gave his testimony about his accident and road to recovery at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Saginaw on Wednesday evening at 7pm. He will also be preaching on Saturday at 5pm and Sunday at 8am and 10:30am! What a miracle of healing...prayers have been answered! Everyone is welcome to come and encourage him! Pray that he is upheld by the Spirit and is physically strong as he does what he loves to do!

Wednesday, July 22, 11:37 AM - Wendi:

Christmas in July???!!! YES IT IS, Pop was told yesterday at his care conference that he will be discharged this Sunday, July 26th! He will do OUTPATIENT rehab while he is in Colorado and when he returns. He does not have to be admitted as an inpatient any longer!!! HALLELUJAH!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!! He was so very overtaken with emotions yesterday, he just cried and cried and praised GOD!!! Wow, from April 9 to July 26 we have received so many gifts from our Lord!!! He was like a kid at Christmas time, getting the most awesome gift! He is also anxious for Deb's wedding and seeing Grandma, that will be AWESOME!!!

Pop will be coming down to Scott and Nancy's house before he leaves for Colorado! He will be there from 7/28 - 8/14. He still needs healing, but God has given him enough strength to go where he wants him to be! Thank you all for your support, prayers, words, listening... I just am at a loss for words. Pop says everyday that he has been so very blessed to have such a wonderful family in Christ and we are too! Please continue to keep him in your prayers as he travels.

GOD LOVES YOU AND SO DO WE!!!

Please continue to pray for Billy Hamburg, whose doctors found 5 tumors in his bladder. He had surgery June 29th and the biopsy results showed a cancerous condition. He will be undergoing chemo & radiation treatments and will need the Lord’s Hand to overcome his anxiety as well as the cancer.

Surviving the Shipwrecks of Life

Friday, July 24, 2009

Life can be smooth sailing . . .

until one day the bottom drops out and our lives change forever.

How do you cope in a time like that?

Pastor Greg Laurie has some helpful counsel on A New Beginning.

He reflects on his own personal journey and reminds us that God's promises are reliable, even when our hope falters.
